The Count your Pipples article by Seret is very interesting. It is afollow-through of an article I wrote several years ago for Inside Backgammon.In that article I developed a very accurate technique for evaluatingraces, much more accurate than the commonly used counts. Unfortunately themethod was too difficult to use at the table, and I had pretty much let itgo. Seret uses the same concept, but turns it into a formula which actuallycan (with some difficulty) be applied at the table. I look forward tofurther improvements in this area.
